Lazarus and I Are Kissing Cousins

Well. It’s been an interesting month. Not one I would care to go through again, but very instructive in many ways. Because I am now housebound, and on a sort of enforced vacation, I have decided to use the energy I have (currently still very little) to try and make sense of all this and record the whats and wherefores and ins and outs and highs and lows of this experience. That sounds, on the surface, very ego-centric and self-absorbed, and perhaps it will be, but my intention is to try and make something positive out of the situation—lemonade out of lemons and all that—and perhaps provide a sort of road map for anyone unfortunate enough to find themselves in a similar situation.

In the meantime, my sincere thanks to all the people who were kind enough to express their concern and best wishes for my recovery. It’s going to be a while before I can resume my career as an acrobat with the Cirque du Soleil, but I’ll have a better idea in another month as to what extent I can expect to recover.

Thank you all. God bless.
